Work Package 5: Impact and Dissemination
Specific objectives
The Impact Measurements and Dissemination work package has two main objectives that contribute to the overall goal of the project to promote interest and excellence in STEM education through project-based learning, collaborative learning, and inquiry-based STEM learning.
The first objective is to measure the impact of the project activities on the participating pre-service teachers, in-service teachers and their students. This will involve collecting and analysing data on the effectiveness of the project with the use of feedback questionnaires, tests and interviews. The impact measurements will focus on several key areas, including the development of students’ skills and knowledge, changes in teacher attitudes and teaching practices, and improvements in the overall school environment for STEM education.
The second objective is to disseminate the project’s results and findings to a wider audience. The dissemination activities will aim to share the knowledge, experiences, and best practices gained through the project with relevant stakeholders. The dissemination will take place at various levels, including local, national, and international. The dissemination activities will include the creation of project reports, publications and presentations.
Disseminating the project’s results and findings will ensure that the knowledge gained through the project is widely shared and used to improve STEM education in different settings. This will contribute to the overall goal of promoting interest and excellence in STEM education by inspiring and empowering educators and students to adopt innovative and effective teaching and learning practices. The dissemination activities will also provide an opportunity to showcase the project’s achievements and contribute to the broader discourse on STEM education, project-based learning, and inquiry-based STEM learning.
Results
The Impact Measurements and Dissemination Work Package aims to measure the impact and disseminate the results of the project to various stakeholders. There are the following expected products and results of this work package:
- Impact Measurement Framework: The work package will develop an impact measurement framework that will define the key performance indicators and evaluation methods to measure the impact of the project. This framework will help in measuring the effectiveness of the project in achieving its objectives, and the extent to which it has contributed to the improvement of STEM education.
- Impact Reports: The work package will prepare impact reports that will provide an overview of the project’s impact on different stakeholders, including teachers, students, and educational institutions. These reports will highlight the key findings of the project, its strengths and limitations, and recommendations for future improvement.
- Dissemination Plan: The work package will develop a dissemination plan that will identify the target audiences for disseminating the project results, the communication channels, and the timeline for dissemination. This plan will ensure that the project results are disseminated widely and effectively.
- Dissemination Products: The work package will develop various dissemination products, such as brochures, presentations, videos, and social media posts, to disseminate the project results to different stakeholders. These products will be designed to communicate the project findings in a clear and concise manner to ensure maximum impact.
- Stakeholder Engagement: The work package will engage with stakeholders such as policymakers, educational institutions, and industry partners to ensure that the project results are relevant and useful. The engagement process will involve regular consultations, meetings, and workshops to discuss the project findings and gather feedback from stakeholders.
Activities
- Preparing and publishing a toolkit including the piloted activities in the evaluation tools
