Martin Rusek
Ph.D.
Assoc. prof. Martin Rusek received his degree in chemistry and information and technical education at the Faculty of Education where he later earned his Ph.D. in chemistry education. Since then, he has worked as a chemistry teacher trainer and science education researcher and habilitated at the Faculty of Science, Charles University in the field of chemistry education. With over 50 publications indexed on the Web of Science and others elsewhere, he belongs among the most active science education researchers in Europe. He has been a visiting professor at Martin-Luther University in Halle Wittenberg (Germany) and a visiting researcher at the University of Jyväskylä, also used many interns to collaborate with colleagues in the UK, Slovenia, Slovakia, and Germany. In his research, he has been focusing on science experiments and active learning for many years now. He is experienced in student activation methods’ implementation in education.
